NE10 Offensive Player of the Week

E'Lijah Gray, Southern Connecticut
Senior | Running Back | Somers Point, N.J.

 

In a back-and-forth battle against Post that saw the Owls pull away with a 31-27 win, Gray carried the ball 27 times and finished with 204 yards and a touchdown, including a 46-yard run, while also adding two catches for 19 yards. It was Gray's second career 200-yard rushing game, dating back to last season's matchup against Post. Gray currently leads the NE10 with 696 rushing yards while his 116 yards per game average is second. He also has four touchdowns for the year. Gray is also third in the conference in all-purpose yards at 825. 


NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Dion Kuinlan, Assumption
Graduate Student | Defensive Back | Bethpage, N.Y.

 

Kuinlan was all over the field for the Greyhounds in their 16-13 win over Bentley. The New York native tallied a game-high 15 tackles, which included 13 solo stops. He added an interception in the fourth quarter, which set up the game-winning field goal. Kuinlan led a Hounds defense that allowed 145 yards and six first downs in the second half of the game. He currently ranks second nationally in solo tackles per game (8.2).


NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week

Gabriel Bertolazzo, Assumption
Senior | Punter | Winter Garden, Fla.

 

Bertolazzo was a major part in the Greyhounds' 16-13 win over Bentley. The senior punter had eight punts that tallied 426 yards, with six going over 50+ yards and three landing inside the seven-yard line. The average starting field position for the Falcons following Bertolazzo's punts was the 18-yard line. On the year, he leads the conference in average (40.8) and 50+ yard kicks (8).


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Daniel Benzi, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Kicker | Middletown, Conn.

 

Benzi was 4-for-4 on point-after attempts and also converted a 34-yard field goal (seven total points) as the Owls defeated Post, 31-27, in league action.
